When you receive your next box of Printronix ribbons, you may notice that the mylar leader (silver metal) you are used to having is missing. By design it has been elimated. The new stronger method for ataching the ribbon fabric to the spool and a more reliable technology for reversing the ribbon direction has been implemented.
