change every three months. Well Printers need Maintenance too! Even though this
is a lower end HP LaserJet printer, it is worth saving.

CAUTION: Fuser may be hot. Turn off printer, unplug it and allow
it to sit for 20 to 30 minutes before performing these maintenance procedures.
Fusing Assembly Removal and Replacement
1. Remove left cover: a.) Open the toner access door b.) Pull notch on back of cover and rotate away from printer
2. Remove back cover: a.) Open face up door b.) Remove two screws from back of printer c.) Press and hold down two fuser release levers and pull cover
of printer
3. Remove right cover: a.) Remove one screw from back of printer b.) Release tab from bottom of right cover and remove cover
4. Remove top cover: (remove optional scanner if attached) a.) Remove two screws from top of printer b.) Remove two screws from back of printer c.) Lift cover off of printer
5. Remove pressure roller gear from fuser (cream color, right
side) 6. Remove three screws from right fuser plate ( 90 degree metal
bracket ) and remove 7. Remove three screws from left fuser plate ( 90 degree metal
bracket ) and remove 8. Remove one screw from both right and left side of fuser 9. Remove and unwind three cables that connect fuser with engine
board 10. Gently pull frame away from fuser, then fuser away from
printer
Transfer Roller Removal and Replacement
1. Open toner access lid 2. Remove toner cartridge 3. Locate the bushing on right side next to the drive gear 4. Squeeze the tabs on the bushing and lift up, slide to the
right and remove
Tray 1 Pickup Roller and Separation Pad Removal and Replacement
1. Open toner access cover
a.) Remove toner cartridge b.) Spread the pick up roller locks on each side of roller to
release roller c.) With a small flat blade screwdriver, pry blue pad out and
away from black holder d.) Align new pad on holder and press firmly to lock into place e.) Re-install roller
